Law of Priority:
You must first save yourself before you can save another.
(You must first take care of yourself before
you can take care of another.)
We must first, care for ourselves on all levels (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually), before we can care for and help others dealing with the same issue.
If we are negligent in an area of our lives we will be ineffective helping someone else address this same area in their lives.
Some examples:
A doctor who disregards his own health will be ineffective in helping his patients address their physical problems.
A mental health worker who disregards his own depression or lack of power will be ineffective in helping his patients address issues relating to depression and empowerment.
Parents who smoke, drink and take drugs are ineffective in teaching children not to smoke, drink and take drugs.
Whatever career path you choose you must be able to apply its principles to yourself and your life otherwise it will be difficult for you to manifest a successful outcome because no one will sense your connectedness to your calling. Our work should resonate with our lifestyle.
It is not what we say but what we do that matters because this is the true expression of how we really feel.
If we do not save ourselves first we defeat the first essential purpose which is to realize our Divinity. Connecting with our Divinity enables us to honor our mental/emotional and spiritual needs so that we can manifest easily and to honor our physical well being because it is the dwelling place of the mental/emotional and spiritual forces,
The best way to carry out this law is to examine an area of your life that you have been avoiding or is stagnant.
Contemplate on one thing in your life that you have been ineffective at changing. Seek support, advice and make yourself accountable until you come up with a solution.
